On May 14, during the Days of Cable TV, the International Conference “Digital broadcast technologies in multiservice networks” will be held.
On May 14, in Gaspra, Crimea, continuing a series of conferences of the “Ukraine on Air” program, the International Conference “Digital broadcast technologies in multiservice networks” will be held, supported by Ukrteleset Association. The conference will be organized by TECHEXPO, the organizer of EEBC Telecom & Broadcasting.
In the conference program a discussion of investment in broadband networks is planned, where the speakers will offer operators the best possible solutions for creating broadband networks and launching new services; the introduction of a new generation of services (such as HDTV) and new sources of income will also be discussed.
The conference will conclude with the discussion “Digital TV all over Ukraine by 2015 – implement not postpone”. Where shall a comma go? What is the role of cable network operators in the “countrywide digitalization” process – a cable operator’s view on the introduction of digital television.
Let us remember that in March the first event of “Ukraine on Air” programme in 2009 was held – the International conference “Digital broadcasting technologies of TV content: on the way to 2012. Ukraine and Poland: results, plans, and reality”.

The conference will give a start to the second year of the program “Ukraine On Air”, which is aimed at the development of digital broadcasting technologies in Ukraine and includes the issues of preparation of Ukrainian and Polish broadcasters to cover the final of the European Football Championship EURO 2012 (Ukraine - Poland). The program was initiated in 2008. During last year a series of seminars dedicated to production and transmitting of HD content, including premium sports content, as well as a series of international conferences on digital terrestrial, cable, satellite and mobile broadcasting were held.
