On January 27, 2011 the Fourth International conference Digital Terrestrial Television in Ukraine: Is the Solution Found? took place in Kyiv. It was dedicated to the creation of the national digital terrestrial TV network in Ukraine.

Kyiv, Ukraine, October 20-22, two exhibitions were held in KyivExpoPlaza: EEBC 2010 - the 8th International Exhibition and Conference for Broadcasting, Digital technologies and Content, and expoTEL 2010 - the 8th International Exhibition and Conference for the Telecommunications Industry. These events have confirmed their status of an effective international platform for cooperation and communication between professionals of the information and communication technologies. The exposition of EEBC 2010 and expoTEL occupied 3,500 sq m and brought together 187 companies from 24 countries and 3720 unique visitors. The exhibitions and conferences were held with the support of 17 industrial associations and organizations.

New exhibitors at expoTEL: MTS Ukraine and FreshTEL

From 20 to 22 October, Ukrcom Line, specializing in selling home-made and foreign passive communication equipment, an official partner of world famous Tyco Electronics and ADC Krone, will take part in the eighth international exhibition and conference for telecommunication industry, expoTEL 2010.

On October 20, during the major international exhibition and conference for broadcasting, digital technologies and content in Ukraine, ЕЕВС 2010, the second award ceremony initiated by the editorial board of the all-Ukrainian monthly Mediasat will take place.

From 20 to 22 October, Sensor Technology, specializing in producing network installation equipment, will take part in the eighth international exhibition and conference for telecommunication industry, expoTEL 2010.

The Telecom Club and TECHEXPO, the organizer of EEBC 2010 and expoTEL 2010 exhibitions, on October 21, 2010, will hold an annual joint event — the Official Black Tie Reception.

From September 10 to 14, 2010, EEBC 2010 exhibition — the main event of the season in the field of broadcasting, digital technologies and content in Ukraine — will be presented at IBC international exhibition, the main annual event for professionals involved in creating, managing and distributing products for the entertainment industry around the world.

On June 24, 2010 in Odessa during the work of 5th International Conference "Digital Media Technologies DBT-2010" the demonstration of digital on-air broadcasting standards in a new advanced DVB-T2 standard was performed.

October 23, 2009, the third and the closing day of the 7th Eastern Europe exhibition and conference ЕЕВС 2009 Telecom&Broadcasting, was distinguished by the following events:

The second day, October 22, 2009, of the 7th Eastern Europe exhibition and conference ЕЕВС 2009 Telecom&Broadcasting, was dedicated to the issues of satellite and cable TV broadcasting.

On October 21 the opening of the 7th Eastern Europe exhibition and conference ЕЕВС 2009 Telecom&Broadcasting was held in Kyiv. During the event a series of conferences and seminars were held dedicated to the most topical issues of telecommunications, the Internet, TV broadcasting, and content production. On the first day the International Conference "Telecommunications and Broadband Networks" took place featuring speeches of the representatives of leading vendors, operators, and research institutes from Europe and the CIS countries.

On October 21 the Opening Ceremony of the 7th Eastern Europe exhibition and conference ЕЕВС 2009 Telecom&Broadcasting was held.

Infocommunication industry is a fast growing sector in Ukraine. There are over 1,300 operators of telecommunication services. The most prospective markets are Internet and IP services with a penetration level of only 14-16% . By the end of the year broadband users will reach 2.5 million people (forecast).

On May 14, during the Days of Cable TV, the International Conference “Digital broadcast technologies in multiservice networks” will be held.
