The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has passed a bill under which the subscribers of mobile operators have the right to keep their phone numbers when switching to another mobile operator.
329 deputies voted for the adoption of the bill. According to the bill, a subscriber must register with their mobile operator and get a personal number that will stay unchanged even when the user switches to another communication operator.
The law provides for six months for operators to develop and implement technical and administrative support facilities for the number keeping service. Let us remember that the bill was proposed by deputies from the Party of Regions faction Vitaliy Korzh and Yuriy Moroko.
