Thus, according to Miniwatts Marketing Group research company, in September 2009, the Ukrainian Internet audience amounted to 10.4 million people. Ukraine is far behind Poland (20 million), Turkey (26.5 million) and Russia (45.3 million). The absolute leader in Europe by the number of Internet users is Germany (54.2 million).
In addition, according to the Ukrainian Watcher, in late 2009, Ukraine came fifth in the world by the number of registered LiveJournal accounts (livejournal.com). By the time their number in Ukraine was 187,300. More LiveJournal members are in the U.S.A. (4.531 million) and Russia (1.239 million).
