Specialists of the Ukrainian State Center of Radio Frequencies (UCRF) began preparations for the implementation of a complex of administrative and technical measures related to Euro 2012 in Ukraine , the UCRF press office reports.
According to the Center, the most pressing issues in terms of providing the International Organizing Committee staff with the necessary information and telecommunication services are to allocate the required radio frequency resource to users, to issue permits for the import and use of radio electronic facilities and radiating devices, to ensure REF electromagnetic compatibility and non-interference, and to monitor individual communication networks.
According to Deputy Head of UCRF for radio frequency monitoring, Vladimir Titarenko, the spectrum of the specialists’ tasks in preparation for Euro 2012 is quite broad. In addition to applying the Center monitoring complex, TETRA standard REF radio control equipment, which is going to be bought from Rohde & Schwarz (direction finders, measuring and monitoring receivers, etc.), has to be used.
