In 2009, the revenues from providing mobile communication services in Ukraine decreased by 3.9%, compared to the same period in 2008, and amounted to 28.4 bn UAH (1 USD = approx. 8 UAH), according to the report of the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine.
In particular, the revenues from providing mobile communication services to the population in January-December 2009 decreased by 17.1% compared to the same period in 2008, and made 9.6 bn UAH.
Thereby, the proportion of revenues from providing mobile communication services in the total revenues from telecommunications made 60.6 %.In 2009, the enterprises’ revenues from the provision of telecommunication services in Ukraine decreased by 3 % compared to the same period in 2008, to 46.2845 bn UAH.
