The National Communication Regulation Commission (the NCRC) has canceled a separate type of licenses for providing long-distance and international fixed-line IP based telephony.
As it became known to journalists, the NCRC has worked out new licensing conditions for providing fixed-line telephony services in the field of telecommunications, requiring universalization of licenses for long-distance and international telephony.
So, now the operator wishing to provide IPt elephony services will need to get an ordinary license.
According to a member of the NCRC Volodymyr Oliynyk, new licensing conditions will reduce the number of companies that used to work exclusively with IP telephony, since the cost of this license was only 6% of the cost of a similar traditional license (3 million UAH).
