Ukrtelecom OJSC has launched a trial mode of Triple Play service, according to the “Kompyuternoye obozreniye” (“Computer Review”). According to the Deputy Chairman of the Board responsible for marketing and sale of services, the member of the Board of directors of Ukrtelecom Igor Sirotenko, the company is getting ready for commercial launching of Triple Play service this year and expects it to be a success

“We predict that in several years after the IPTV service is launched, at least 10 % of households in Ukraine will use it,” - Igor Sirotenko said.

According to him, in tough competition environment on the market of television programs transmitting, Triple Play prices calculation will be based on those of the present cable television packages. The cost is UAH 30-50 (USD 7-10) so far. Data transmission tariffs depend on the selected speed and start from UAH 80 (USD 17). IP telephony tariffs will be lower than the limits.

The company expects the Triple Play project to repay in 4-6 years.
