EEBC 2009 TELECOM & BROADCASTING RESULTS
On October 21-23 Kyiv hosted a successful Eastern European exhibition and conference EEBC 2009 Telecom & Broadcasting. The exposition of EEBC 2009 Telecom&Broadcasting occupied 3500 sq m in KyivExpoPlaza exhibition center. 159 companies from 28 countries participated in EEBC 2009, including 86 companies displaying their products at the stands. The event was covered in the press, on TV and in the Internet by journalists from 70 publications.
The total number of visitors was determined by automatic registration at the exhibition entrance. A total of 3650 unique visitors of EEBC 2009 Telecom & Broadcasting were registered. According to the survey, company directors, senior management and owners made 42% of all visitors. Leading engineering and technical staff of companies amounted to 27%. Managers and heads of various departments of companies, including purchases, sales and marketing, amounted to about 17%.
EEBC 2009 program was rich in vivid unconventional events. These events diverse in form, content and scope gathered key members of all segments of the media and infocommunication markets of Ukraine and foreign countries. During the EEBC 2009 Telecom&Broadcasting a series of conferences and seminars were held dedicated to the most topical issues of telecommunications, the Internet, TV broadcasting, and content production.
All exhibition and conference participants noted a high level of the event organization.
Most of the exhibitors evaluated the quality of visitors as positive, tentatively identifying around 70% of potential customers out of the total number of visitors of their booths. Over 80% of the participants expressed a wish to exhibit at EEBC 2010 exhibition.
Below we are giving some excerpts from interviews in which the participants told about their companies’ plans in Ukraine, development of new technologies, and shared their impressions of EEBC 2009.
Sergey Sarapulov, Head of Radio Technologies Bureau of the State Communications Administration noted the importance of holding EEBC 2009 Telecom&Broadcasting, a major event in the field of telecommunications in Ukraine: "Currently, the development of the telecommunications sphere is connected with the development of technology and the growing speed of rendering various services. Markus Fritz, Vice president and CEO of SES-ASTRA, Vice president of the executive committee of Digital Europe emphasized in his speech: "SES-ASTRA is glad to support this event and expresses a special interest in cooperation with Ukraine, the government and all stakeholders. We see the need for participation in EEBC 2009 in order to ensure the best choice of products for prospective Ukrainian customers.”
