Compared to the previous year, the level of the exhibition increased more than by one third – the total area of the exhibition amounted to 6050 sq. m, which is 38 % more than in 2007.
The total number of visitors was determined by automatic registration at the exhibition entrance. A total of 3850 unique visitors of EEBC 2008 Telecom & Broadcasting were registered. EEBC 2008 program was rich in vivid unconventional events. More than 50 events diverse in form, content and scope gathered key members of all segments of the media and infocommunication markets of
Ukraine and foreign countries.
All exhibition and conference participants noted a high level of the event organization.
"The event has been held at a high level. Good organization, a large number of key international participating companies and representatives of the CIS countries.
It has been very useful for me to learn about the issues and concerns of the industry in Eastern Europe. Although the activity of regulatory bodies is still not very transparent and clear to many international organizations.
Particularly with regard to issues of convergence and mobile broadcasting, public authorities should first consider the external conditions and consumers' needs. UMTS Forum is ready to continue supporting EEBC conference and we will be happy to share our ideas and experience with the participants in this event."
Martin Jarrold, Chief, International Programme Development, GVF
"GVF declares that it will be a pleasure to continue cooperation with EEBC Telecom & Broadcasting organizers. We look forward to coming back to Kyiv to participate in EEBC 2009 exhibition and conference, and will be happy to support this event. EEBC 2008 exhibition and conference has shown the importance and need of the development of telecommunications market in Ukraine, and we are confident that EEBC will continue to serve as an excellent platform in the telecommunications industry for partners and customers from Eastern Europe and the CIS."
Dr. Claus Sattler,Executive Director of BMCo Forum
"The forum on mobile broadcasting within EEBC 2008 Telecom & Broadcasting has given us an excellent opportunity to exchange information on the current state of the commercial implementation of mobile TV services in Central and Eastern Europe.
