Association Ukrteleset was established in 2000 as voluntary union of Ukrainian cable TV operators with the purpose to represent interests of TV nets business in relations with public authorities, information and legal assistance in performance of economic activity, centralized purchase of broadcasting rights in Ukraine.
For the moment Association includes ca. 300 TV nets operators from all the regions of Ukraine and Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Members of the Association render access services to TV programs and Internet for more than 1.5 million users. More that 500 Ukrainian telecommunication nets operators apply to services rendered by the Association. The Association cooperates with 47 Ukrainian and foreign TV companies and exercises the right to distribute more than 85 TV programs. Total number of concluded and valid contracts with TV Nets operators relating the right to distribute TV programs as of the date of compiling the present certificate equals to 10 thousand contracts.
The Association takes active part in development and public discussion of normative and legal deeds, regulating activity of economic subjects in the sphere of television and telecommunication, cooperates with mass media as to matters concerning coverage of problem topics and popularization of pay-TV. |
